BCPL-99 High Alumina Support Media Spheres: Applications

The BCPL-99 High Alumina Support Media Spheres contain more than 99% alpha alumina and a maximum 0.2wt% SiO2. Because of its high alumina and low silica, it is an ideal product for high temperature steam applications, such as secondary reformers in ammonia processing, where leached silica will coat downstream equipment or foul the catalyst bed.

The high alumina content (>99%) brings on a chemical resistance, which when combined with its high crushing strength and load bearing ability, it makes the BCPL-99 High Alumina Support Media Spheres the ideal product for catalyst bed support applications.

The BCPL-99 High Alumina Support Media Sphere has very excellent thermal properties, being able to withstand upto 1500oC. It is a good choice for heat retention applications.

For its superior chemical resistance, it's suitable for applications in olefin processes, such as ethylene dryers.
